Carlos Soler PSG exit imminent as West Ham United transfer decision close
West Ham United and PSG have come closer to an agreement over the transfer of Carlos Soler with a decision imminent, according to Foot Mercato.
The French outlet reported on Friday (23 August) that the Spanish international is now very close to signing with Julen Lopetegui’s side in a deal worth somewhere in the region of £19.5million.
There is optimism from both sides that the deal will be completed imminently ahead of the 30 August transfer deadline, which will give the Parisian side some money to spend in the final days of the transfer window.
Reports have suggested that both Lopetegui and Tim Steidten are pushing to try and get the deal over the line quickly despite also needing to secure outgoings ahead of the deadline [Fabrizio Romano, 23 August].

Few clubs in Europe have been as busy as the Hammers this summer, but the signing of Soler feels like the last piece of Lopetegui and Steidten’s expensive jigsaw ahead of the transfer deadline.
The West Ham boss has already bolstered his attacking and defensive ranks ahead of the new campaign, but barring the signing of Guido Rodriguez, the midfield left behind by David Moyes has been untouched.
Soler will add a technical presence in the middle of the park to compliment the likes of Rodriguez and Edson Alvarez, while also offering some creative support to Lucas Paqueta who has occasionally been isolated.
Hopefully, the finishing touches can be put on this deal sooner rather than later so that it can be completed with plenty of time to spare. Both parties seem optimistic that the transfer will go off without a hitch.
If and when this deal is finally completed, it feels as though the Hammers business may finally be over after an incredibly busy summer.
