Brighton ace Evan Ferguson transfer twist emerges as West Ham United favourites
West Ham front the queue consisting of Newcastle, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal for Brighton striker Evan Ferguson, according to Caught Offside.
The news outlet reported on 30 November that the Hammers’ interest is the most concrete and that they’re looking to progress on any potential deal for the 20-year-old.
Sources have indicated that Brighton will not stand in the Republic of Ireland international’s way and that they might even discuss a permanent transfer at the end of the season if they receive the right offer.
Evan Ferguson will be a quality signing for West Ham
Ferguson would be an ideal signing for the Hammers, addressing their current and potentially future striker needs.
The Irons have struggled with the fitness of Niclas Fullkrug and the age-related decline of Michail Antonio, both of which have impacted the team’s offensive reliability.
Ferguson, at just 20, not only brings youth but also versatility and potential for growth if considered as a permanent option.
His ability to play as a traditional number nine or in a more dynamic forward role could significantly enhance the creativity and effectiveness of players like Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen.
