Brentford make Ivan Toney decision as West Ham United want transfer now
Brentford will not drop their asking price for Ivan Toney this summer with West Ham United maintaining interest in him, according to HITC.
The Bees are insistent that they won’t be letting their talismanic striker go for a cut-price fee during the transfer window.
The Hammers are set to face competition from Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur to sign the 28-year-old.
Graeme Bailey has reported (13 June) that Brentford could demand up to £60m for Toney despite him having just one year remaining on his contract.
West Ham United continue interest in Ivan Toney
The Hammers are keen to add a striker to their squad this summer after a season where Michail Antonio and Danny Ings weren’t on top form.
Julen Lopetegui is coming in as head coach and will want to put his own stamp on the team ahead of the new Premier League season.
This has seen West Ham linked to the likes of Youssef En-Nesyri and Tammy Abraham ahead of the window opening on Friday (14 June).
Toney has recently returned from a ban caused by betting but his performances have been enough to earn a place in the England EUROs squad.
Although he never had the greatest return to the Premier League, he is someone who will score goals and would be a top signing this summer.

The question would be whether or not David Sullivan would be willing to part with up to £60m to secure his services for next season.
It would be a large outlay for the Hammers but could prove to be a game-changing transfer ahead of Lopetegui’s first season in charge.
