Bournemouth agree Ben Doak transfer – Three forwards West Ham could sign instead
Liverpool and Bournemouth have now agreed a deal for West Ham target Ben Doak.
Doak had been linked with a move to West Ham this summer.
Graham Potter’s side still need a replacement for Mohammed Kudus, and the 19-year-old emerged as an option.
However, as reported by Fabrizio Romano via X on Friday, 15 August, Bournemouth have agreed a deal worth £25million to sign Doak, with formal steps now set to follow.
As a result, the Hammers will need to look elsewhere, and West Ham Zone has identified three forwards that could arrive at the London Stadium instead.
Facundo Buonanotte
Brighton forward Facundo Buonanotte spent last season on loan with Leicester, where he impressed.
The Seagulls have once again made the 20-year-old available for loan, as reported on page 65 of the print edition of the Daily Mail on Wednesday, 13 August.
A Premier League loan is preferred, with West Ham facing competition from Leeds and Nottingham Forest, while Tottenham also keep tabs.
However, Leeds have now announced the signing of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, while Nottingham Forest are busy with deals for James McAtee and Omari Hutchinson.
Therefore, this could be the perfect chance for West Ham to swoop and bring Buonanotte to the London Stadium in what would likely be a low-cost deal.

Harvey Elliott
One player who has been linked with a move to West Ham all summer is Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott.
As a result, while the Hammers are set to miss out on Doak, they could still go shopping at Anfield and bring Elliott to East London. While the Englishman is primarily an attacking midfielder, he has also shown in the past that he can play on the right-hand side.
However, there is plenty of interest in the versatile 22-year-old, who was named Player of the Tournament at this year’s UEFA Under-21 European Championship.
Therefore, if West Ham want to avoid a similar fate to their pursuit of Doak, they will need to move quickly for Elliott.

Raheem Sterling
The most expensive alternative option to Doak is Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling.
This would represent a different option for the Hammers. Like Doak, Buonanotte, and Elliott are both young. However, Sterling is a player who has won it all and is set to turn 31 later this year.
Sterling has been linked with West Ham and could certainly arrive as an alternative option to Doak. However, it remains to be seen whether David Sullivan and Co. would be prepared to pay his extortionate wages at the London Stadium.
