Bayern Munich want to sign West Ham United ace Thilo Kehrer amid Benjamin Pavar transfer to Inter Milan
Bayern Munich want to sign West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer to replace outgoing Benjamin Pavard, according to the Daily Mail.
Writing on their website (23 August), the German defender is being targeted by former Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel as a replacement for the versatile Frenchman who is heading to Inter Milan.
The Serie A club have agreed a deal worth £27.3m including add-ons for Pavard, and after paying £30m to sign Kehrer while manager of PSG Tuchel is keen on a reunion to fill the gap in his squad.

“West Ham’s Thilo Kehrer has emerged as a potential candidate for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga side’s search for a versatile defender,” they wrote.
“Bayern are on the verge of losing Benjamin Pavard to Inter Milan, after the defender reportedly turned down a move to Manchester United.
“This has created a vacancy for a player who can play at centre-back and right-back like the French 2018 World Cup winner.”
Loss
It’s pretty clear that a lot of the transfers West Ham made last summer didn’t quite live up to their expectations, but Kehrer isn’t one of those.
Signed for around £10m from PSG, the defender came in and settled quickly. He played several positions but always looked at his best at right-back or right wing-back and was a big part of the squad that won the Europa Conference League.

This season he was a substitute in the opening game and then missed the win over Chelsea with a minor neck injury, but it’s clear that he may not be first-choice this season.
However we showed last season that depth is needed and he provides a quality option, especially if Moyes decides to go with a back-three more regularly this season.
Selling him wouldn’t be the end of the world but it would need to be a big bid to make it worth our while at this stage of the window, and a replacement would be needed.
