Atalanta ready to sell West Ham United target Duvan Zapata for just £10m after manager fall-out
West Ham United January transfer target Duvan Zapata is set to be sold for £10million this summer after a fall-out with his manager at Atalanta, according to the Sunday People.
The Daily Mail reported (18 January) that the Hammers had joined the race to sign Zapata in the winter window, with the striker favouring a move to a London Club over the likes of Everton.
The Sunday People have now shared (Sunday 26 February, page 56) that the 31-year-old has had a bust-up with Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini and he will now be offered to the Toffees for a price of £10million due to the fact he enters the last year of his contract this summer.

“Zapata was also in the sights of West Ham and Nottingham Forest in the last transfer window,” they added.

Not needed
For all of the attacking woes at West Ham United this season, it is not due to a lack of personnel but instead, the way they are tactically being used.
The likes of Gianluca Scamacca and Lucas Paqueta don’t turn into bad players overnight, and it is just a case of Moyes figuring out the best system to deploy them in. It seemed he finally found this elusive formula against Nottingham Forest during the 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest (Saturday, 25 February), with January recruit Danny Ings and Jarrod Bowen linking up beautifully during the second-half blitz.
Although Zapata is being offered to Everton in the summer, the Hammers should steer clear of this transfer. At 31 years old and after proving himself to be a divisive character at Atalanta with the recent fall-out, a move for the striker just doesn’t tick enough boxes to highlight that he will have a successful future in the Premier League.
