Arsenal share Eddie Nketiah transfer stance as West Ham United update emerges
Arsenal have made Eddie Nketiah available for £50million as West Ham continue their search for a new striker, according to talkSPORT.
The radio station reported via its website [25 June] that, while Crystal Palace have a long-standing interest in the 25-year-old, the Hammers and Southampton are looking to add more firepower to their squads this summer.
It is understood that the Gunners will allow Nketiah to leave the club if they are able to bring in a new striker, though Nketiah’s valuation and wages, in excess of £100,000-a-week, are set to put suitors off.
West Ham want Eddie Nketiah as Arsenal name price
With Michail Antonio the only real striker option for Julen Lopetegui to utilise ahead of next season, it is imperative that the Hammers manage to acquire a new forward.
Danny Ings has failed to make any lasting impact since arriving from Aston Villa, and while Antonio still has life left in his legs at 34 years of age, his injuries will be a worry next season.
The club have already been linked with the likes of AS Roma’s Tammy Abraham and Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri but may have already been ruled out of a move for Juventus’ Matias Soule due to the new manager [CalcioMercato].
Jarrod Bowen was absolutely worth his weight in gold last season, notching 20 goals and 10 assists in all competitions, but it is unfair to assume he can manage that every season unless the club can bring in some exciting players around him.

The addition of Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras is already a good start, a player who is able to deputise on the flanks as well as an attacking midfielder, though Lopetegui will want to add more of his own touch this summer.
While Nketiah has proven himself in the Premier League, his lack of minutes for Arsenal should not really warrant the £50million price tag, which should see the Hammers look to other targets.
In other West Ham news, Tottenham have already seen an enquiry into Jarrod Bowen rejected, with the club told how big of a fee would be needed.
