Arsenal and Newcastle twist emerges to sign West Ham United attacker ahead of Tottenham

Arsenal and Newcastle have made a late attempt to hijack Tottenham in their pursuit of West Ham youngster Kyran Thompson, according to The Secret Scout.

The reliable youth football expert who usually breaks transfer stories regarding the top young players in football, took to X on 24 July to claim that the attacker appeared set to move to Spurs.

However, in the last 10 days, both Arsenal and Newcastle have presented their projects to the youngster who now has to decide between three clubs.

The Secret Scout wrote: “Understand Arsenal and Newcastle have made late moves for West Ham young talent Kyran Thompson.

“Was set for Spurs, but Arsenal and Newcastle have presented their projects, over the last 10 days.

“Decision soon.”

West Ham appear to stand no chance to retain Kyran Thompson’s services

The Hammers are unlikely to retain Thompson’s services due to the interest from Arsenal, Newcastl, and Tottenham.

Thompson appears to have made up his mind to leave and the decision now rests on which club’s youth development program he finds most appealing.

The rivalry between West Ham and the two North London clubs is unlikely to factor into his decision, as he will be more focused on the opportunities and support each club can provide for his development.

The fact that Arsenal and Newcastle have made late attempts to hijack Tottenham’s pursuit of Thompson indicates the level of interest in the young talent.

All three clubs have a strong track record of developing young players, which will make the youngster’s decision even more challenging.

The Irons seem to have lost the battle to retain Thompson, highlighting the allure of the Premier League’s top clubs for young talents.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers want to sign a £21m-rated international striker and opening bids have already been made for him.
