Armando Broja wants West Ham United move, talks to intensify in next 72 hours

Chelsea striker Armando Broja prefers a move to West Ham in the summer, according to the Evening Standard.

The newspaper wrote in their online edition on 11 July that the Hammers have already held talks to sign the 20-year-old striker, and further talks are expected to “ramp up” in the next 72 hours.

The Hammers are yet to make a bid for the youngster. Everton and Newcastle are also interested in signing the Blues striker, but it seems the Hammers are leading the race.

The report adds the prospect of signing Broja on an initial loan deal hasn’t been ruled out. If the Hammers fail to land Broja, they could move for Blackburn striker Ben Brereton Diaz.

Get it done

This is a golden opportunity for the Hammers to secure his signature.

According to a report from The Daily Mail (10 July), the Blues could demand a fee in the region of £30m for the striker, but they are keen to keep him at the club.

Signing a striker is a priority for David Moyes, and Broja would be a terrific addition.

The Hammers relied heavily on Michail Antonio last season. He is the club’s only recognised striker, and it is needless to say, the London outfit need to bolster their forward department.

West Ham

The youngster impressed last season when he netted six goals in 15 Premier League games for Southampton on loan from Chelsea.

The youngster is unlikely to be included in Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the USA, and the Hammers appear to be actively working on getting the deal done.

Evening Standard reports that the Hammers could potentially sign him on an initial loan deal, but Chelsea probably won’t agree to such terms, especially after losing Romelu Lukaku, who joined Inter Milan on loan.
