Andre Silva transfer: Everything points to goodbye after West Ham talks
Andre Silva will leave RB Leipzig in the winter transfer window amid interest from West Ham United, according to Record.
The news outlet reports in its print edition (25 January, pg 24) that “everything points to another goodbye” as the striker struggles for game time in Germany.
The Hammers are in the early stages of talks to sign the Portuguese ace on loan from the Bundesliga outfit, with Graham Potter keen to bolster the attack before 3 February.
West Ham United transfer for Andre Silva necessary
The Irons are without summer signing Niclas Fullkrug after he picked up another injury and will be sidelined for a considerable period.
Michail Antonio had been relied upon to lead the line at the start of the season, but the Jamaican international is also out of action after his car accident.
Julen Lopetegui struggled to bring the best out of the team, especially in the final third and was recently replaced by Potter.
The former Brighton and Chelsea boss realised the task on his hands as Crystal Palace beat the East London club 2-0 in the Premier League on 18 January.
West Ham have relied on Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta to be their number-nine in the last few matches, but the experience backfired at the London Stadium against the Eagles.

Potter lost 2-1 to Aston Villa in the FA Cup in his first game in charge of the Hammers and will be looking to avenge the result at Villa Park on Sunday (26 January).
The Irons fans hope that Jarrod Bowen will be able to play a park against Unai Emery’s team as the English manager looks to stamp his mark once again in the Premier League.
If Silva’s arrival were to happen, it would be a win-win situation for both the player and the East London club.
