Adama Traore looks close to completing his next move after leaving West Ham United this summer.

The rapid winger was reunited with Nuno Espirito Santo, with whom he played with at Wolves, back in the winter transfer window.

However, Traore - who joined from Fulham in January - was released after the Hammers were relegated to the Premier League.

Traore played 12 games in total for West Ham, but failed to score for the Irons in that time and it was little surprise to see him leave.

West Ham have been busy reshaping their squad, and more work could be done in the final week of the window.

Traore, meanwhile, also seemingly has a new club lined up after Fabrizio Romano provided a new update on the 30-year-old.

Where is Adama Traore headed after leaving West Ham?

Traore's stint at West Ham was brief, and the experienced winger is seemingly headed back to Spain.

The eight-cap Spain international previously represented Barcelona in LaLiga, winning the Copa del Rey.

He has also had spells with Aston Villa and Middlesbrough in England, and Romano took to X to share details of Traore's next move.

The prominent Italian journalist revealed that Traore is to jet out to Spain on Wednesday to complete a move to Deportivo La Coruna.

Romano said that Traore will approve and sign his contract to seal the move with Deportivo, who are now back in LaLiga.

West Ham themselves are hoping to conclude more business before the window shuts on 1 September.

What else do West Ham need before the transfer window closes?

The Hammers took a while to get moving in the transfer window, but business has picked up in the last couple of weeks.

Joel Veltman, Manor Solomon, Arne Engels, Joel Piroe, and Divine Mukasa have all arrived at the London Stadium.

Nuno is hopeful of adding more wide players, and Reiss Nelson has been consistently linked with a move from Arsenal.

It is not inconceivable that another striker is signed, while more defensive reinforcements could be required.

West Ham could also sanction more exits before the end of the window, so that might also dictate what other business is done in the next week.
