AC Milan abandon transfer after new Niclas Fullkrug developments with West Ham
Niclas Fullkrug is edging closer to his exit from West Ham in January.
West Ham are at serious risk of relegation this season, and a lot of their ability to avoid that fate will be determined by the business they do in January.
Not only incomings, but also outgoings, with Fullkrug increasingly likely to be on his way out of the London Stadium after yet another dreadful campaign.
A move back to his home country seemed like the most reasonable outcome for the 32-year-old, but new developments at AC Milan look set to change that.

AC Milan withdraw from Joshua Zirkzee race
West Ham had been linked with a move for Joshua Zirkzee, which, when taking into account the type of striker that he is, made no sense.
However, Roma and AC Milan were also linked with the Dutchman, though the latter now appears to have pulled out of a deal.
That is according to Forza Roma, who report that Milan’s interest has been dropped as a result of them moving closer to sealing an agreement with West Ham for the signing of Fullkrug.
The report claims that Fullkrug is “ready to land at Milanello” to become their new striker on a proposed six-month loan deal with an option to buy.

Santiago Gimenez, who has also been linked with West Ham, has undergone surgery, forcing the Italian giants to step up their efforts to land a replacement.

Gabriel Agbonlahor was spot on with Fullkrug assessment
West Ham, for years now, have struggled in the forward areas, with Jarrod Bowen their only reliable source of goals.
Their inability to sign the right profile to lead the line has been astounding, and that is what could send them to the Championship.
However, it’s not an unpopular opinion to say that Fullkrug has been a major flop at West Ham – even Gabriel Agbonlahor said it.
“I mean, they signed Niclas Fullkrug for near £30m,” Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT back in September.
“I mean, he runs like he’s got no hips. He can’t get around the pitch honestly. Like, what a bad signing. Yes, he did well at the Euros. But he’s not a good enough player for me. So, that was a strange signing.”
