Aaron Wan-Bissaka West Ham United medical update as Manchester United move to be finalised
West Ham and Manchester United are now going to finalise a deal to send Aaron Wan-Bissaka to the London Stadium, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sports Germany journalist reported via X on 10 August that the two sides are in contact and will seal the agreement the same day, with a medical planned over the next three days.
Negotiations are now at an advanced stage with the Englishman set for a permanent Irons move and the deal is set to be done “soon”.
Julen Lopetegui has been looking for right-back competition for Vladimir Coufal to top off the window [The Sun, 5 August] after Ben Johnson left for Ipswich but the pursuit of the Old Trafford ace has been slow.
Tim Steidten set to seal another West Ham transfer success
The Hammers transfer window is shaping up to be a highly successful one on paper if Lopetegui can get them all performing.
Tim Steidten has done some very impressive work this summer, and with Wan-Bissaka seemingly set to join Jean-Clair Todibo in the squad the defensive overhaul is about to make a substantial jump forward.
The French centre-back has completed his Irons medical already after the technical director hijacked his presumed move to Juventus [Dharmesh Sheth, 9 August].
And after Crysencio Summerville, Guido Rodriguez and Niclas Fullkrug all arrived around last weekend there is excellent progress being made a week on.
The only downside is that the new manager won’t have had a great deal of time to work with his new players during preseason so they will have to be adapting on the job once the season starts.
But with the end of the David Moyes era seeing plenty of work to be done in the transfer market it looks like the Hammers are going to come out of the summer having successfully pulled it off.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are also in negotiations to sign another “colossus” after Jean-Clair Todibo.
