Aaron Wan-Bissaka contract twist emerges at West Ham United ahead of Man United exit
West Ham United sources suggest Aaron Wan-Bissaka is yet to sign his contract with the Hammers, according to Sean Whetstone.
The 6ft2 editor reported via the West Ham Football X account on Monday (12 August) that the Manchester United defender is yet to put pen to paper on his deal with the Irons to confirm his summer transfer.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano (12 August) had reported earlier on Monday that the 26-year-old had just signed on with Julen Lopetegui’s side alongside Tim Steidten to seal his move to the London Stadium.
Wan-Bissaka’s contract is reportedly set to run until 2026 [Florain Plettenberg, 12 August] as he follows the likes of Crysencio Summerville, Niclas Fullkrug and Jean-Clair Todibo to East London.

Just when it finally seemed as though the Hammers had got this deal over the line, another twist in the transfer saga emerged so that supporters have to wait just a little bit longer to see Wan-Bissaka in claret and blue.
Too much of this transfer window has gone far too smoothly for it to be associated with the Hammers, but the drama of this deal has felt more like what fans have come to expect of West Ham in recent years.
Just because Wan-Bissaka is reportedly yet to sign his contract at the London Stadium doesn’t mean that he won’t do so sooner rather than later and it is important to note that Whetstone has not once suggested the transfer isn’t going to happen.
Hopefully, all sources connected with the Hammers will provide some more positive updates about this move sooner rather than later so fans can just be excited to see their new signing in action.
It shouldn’t be too much longer before an official update emerges from the club.
