West Ham Super Fans react to new claim on Declan Rice

West Ham Super Fans have flocked to a post on the West Ham Zone Facebook page about Declan Rice.

Transfer insider Dean Jones claimed on the latest edition of the Done Deal Show that the Hammers could put themselves in financial danger if they give Rice a new contract.

The 22-year-old rejected a new deal from the Irons in the summer, and Jones seems to think that the England international might cost too much now.

This has drawn a reaction from our Super Fans, who are fuming.

You can see why Irons fans are annoyed at these comments.

Jones is a reliable source of transfer news, so he wouldn’t have just said this if he didn’t think it was a possibility.

However, the Hammers have new investment from Daniel Kretinsky, and if they finish in the top six, top four or win the Europa League, they will have European football again next season.

This would provide them with more finances, so you would think that the Irons could find a way to afford a new contract for Rice.

He is arguably their best player, so if they want to keep him, they are probably going to have to pay quite a bit of money.

However, you can see why our Super Fans haven’t taken too kindly to these comments, and it will be fascinating to see what happens.

In other West Ham news, Daniel Kretinsky has had his say on the Irons fans.
