West Ham Super Fans have flocked to a post on the West Ham Zone Facebook page about Eden Hazard.
According to the Sunday Mirror [05 December], the Hammers are keen on signing the Belgian from Real Madrid in January.
Since leaving Chelsea for Spain, Hazard has endured a torrid time due to injuries and has struggled to find any form at all.
However, despite being fantastic for Chelsea, these Hammers fans don’t want Hazard at the London Stadium.
It might sound odd, but you can see why our Super Fans don’t want him to play for David Moyes’ team.
He reeks of a ‘classic West Ham signing’ because he is past his best and would be on huge wages [Squawka].
Now, he would be a higher calibre player than most of these signings, but he doesn’t fit in with Moyes’ new transfer model.
You could also argue that he doesn’t even get in the team over the current options.
Jarrod Bowen is playing out of his skin, while Pablo Fornals and Said Benrahma started the season brilliantly but have dipped slightly in recent weeks.
Those three are also younger than Hazard and have a long time left at the top of the game.
So, though he won the Premier League with Chelsea on multiple occasions, he is past his best, and we agree with what our Super Fans have said about this transfer.
