Former West Ham defender Steve Potts is expected to be the new under-23s head coach, according to ExWHUemployee.
On his Patreon page a few days ago, the reliable insider wrote that the Hammers’ current head coach Dmitri Halajko is on his way out in the coming weeks.
His replacement is likely to be Potts, who is already a coach for the under-23s and has previous experience of coaching the Hammers’ youth teams right from the under-16s.

Apart from his decade long coaching career at Chadwell Heath, he’s spent nearly 20 years as a professional Irons player – having graduated from the club’s academy.
He knows the fabric of this football club like few others and his potential promotion to the under-23s head coach role has been welcomed by the Hammers faithful.
Here’s what they said:

Good move
Potts is a likeable figure among the fans as well as the staff at the club so it’s a wise move to give him the job.
He’s coached all age groups and has played a pivotal role in ensuring certain graduates are good enough for the senior side.
We will not be surprised if one day he is appointed West Ham manager as he ticks all the boxes to sit on the London Stadium hot seat.
We’re certainly going to be keeping a close eye on how his U-23s side fares, and knowing him, they’re likely to succeed and play an attacking brand of football.
