Nuno Espirito Santo will be terrified as dreadful stats emerge ahead of West Ham vs Fulham

West Ham are in for an incredibly tough test when they travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Wednesday.

Having lost 5-2 to Liverpool on Saturday, the Hammers need to bounce back from the defeat at Anfield with a convincing performance against the Cottagers.

In his managerial career, Nuno Espirito Santo won four of his first five Premier League games against Fulham, but he has lost his last three against Wednesday’s opponents.

Fulham come into the match having beaten Tottenham 2-1 on Sunday, and they’re currently aiming to finish in the European places under Marco Silva.

With 10 games to go, West Ham are running out of time to escape the relegation zone, and they won’t be buoyed by several stats that favour Fulham already.

Fulham look incredibly likely to beat West Ham

Fulham are looking to record just their second Premier League double over West Ham, beating them twice in 2023-24, while also winning 1-0 at the London Stadium earlier this season.

Although the Hammers won six of their first eight away Premier League games against the Cottagers, they have won just two of the last seven.

When it comes to facing off against their rivals, West Ham have also lost seven of their eight Premier League London derbies this season.

Only three sides have lost more all-London games in a single campaign in the competition – Charlton in 2006-07 (eight), QPR in 2014-15 (eight) and Fulham in 2018-19 (10).

West Ham’s all-time record vs Fulham

With the match taking place in the evening, fans won’t be pleased when they see West Ham’s record during night games.

West Ham are winless in their last 10 evening kick-offs (7:00pm or later) in the Premier League since a 2-0 win over Leicester in February 2025.

Away from home, the Hammers are winless in seven evening games, with their last victory coming against Newcastle in November 2024.

To make matters even worse, Fulham have won seven of their last 10 home evening kick-offs (7:00pm or later) in the top flight.

Nuno will definitely be fearing the worst, and the fans travelling to Craven Cottage will be aware of their dismal record in recent years.

What has Opta’s supercomputer predicted for Fulham vs West Ham?

West Ham’s defensive woes have been a key reason as to why they’ve been in the relegation zone all season long.

Only Burnley (56) have conceded more Premier League goals than the Hammers this season (54).

28 games is the earliest West Ham have shipped 50+ goals in a single league campaign since 2017-18 (also 28 matches).

According to Opta‘s supercomputer, the Hammers are set to lose once again under Nuno.

It’s not a shock that the Hammers are considered to be the underdogs on Wednesday, but they’ll have hope knowing that Fulham are inconsistent.

Silva’s side haven’t won three consecutive league games this campaign, and that could give Nuno an inkling of hope that his West Ham team have enough to secure a much-needed three points.
