Sky Sports pundit heaps praise on West Ham ace 'Head and shoulders' above teammates

It wasn’t an amazing Christmas for West Ham United forward Michail Antonio after he was pictured crashing his car.

The incident overshadowed just how important he has been to the Hammers recently, and took away from his great form since returning from injury.

David Moyes will now have a decision to make on the forward, and it would be harsh to drop him despite that crash.

Darren Bent has recently heaped praise on Antonio, claiming he has become undroppable since returning from injury.

“The car thing, the Lamborghini incident obviously isn’t great but at the same time he is head and shoulders above everybody there at the minute,” the Sky Sports pundit told Football Insider.

“There’s probably players who have a lot more quality than him, but because you know what you’re going to get from him, the pace, the power, 100% effort then you can’t leave him out.

“You’ve got to play him, you have Yarmolenko and these guys who have more ability, but you know what you’re going to get from Antonio.

“So for me, he is their most important players.”

David Moyes will have a decision to make in his first selection back as boss at the London Stadium, but having reviewed recent footage surely he must notice that Antonio has been world-class when leading the line.

The game against Southampton proved that Sebastien Haller is better alongside Antonio, and it is hard to suggest there are any better options available to him right now.
