'Love to see it', 'Brilliant news' - These West Ham fans thrilled by Michail Antonio update

Plenty of West Ham fans have reacted positively to the return of Michail Antonio to training, with the striker missing their last three Premier League matches.

The club confirmed this week that the 30-year-old was back in action after suffering from a hamstring injury.

Sebastien Haller has been starting in his place and impressed during the Hammers’ 1-0 win over Sheffield United last weekend, scoring the winner from the edge of the box.

However, Antonio looks like he could be in line to at least take his place on the bench against Aston Villa on Monday, a timely boost for the Hammers.

West Ham have won their last two Premier League matches and sit eighth in the Premier League table. A win on Monday could see them climb as high as fifth, provided results elsewhere go their way.

Antonio started the season on fire and scored three in his opening six matches, including a brilliant goal to secure a 1-1 draw with Manchester City in October.

Used primarily through the centre, he can also play wide and with Haller also coming into form, Moyes could be tempted to use him out wide to get the two players in the side at the same time.

When the club tweeted to say that Antonio was back in training, plenty of fans greeted the news warmly, with one stating that it was brilliant news and another suggesting that Villa were in trouble.
