Gabby Agbonlahor predicts West Ham United to be Premier League biggest underachievers
Gabby Agbonlahor believes West Ham United will be the biggest underachievers in the upcoming 2022/23 Premier League season.
David Moyes has been extremely active in the transfer market this summer bringing in four players and looking to add to his squad which finished seventh last season.
However, despite the new faces, talkSPORT pundit Agbonlahor feels the Hammers have missed their chance to really kick on.
Talking on talkSPORT EDGE on Thursday 4 August, he said: “West Ham have had their chance to push for top four and I think they’ll probably underachieve and finish tenth or eleventh.”
What’s he on about?
This is genuinely one of the worst predictions on the upcoming Premier League season that has been made so far.

The Hammers finished seventh last season with a threadbare squad that also made it to the semi-final of the Europa League against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Moyes has already rectified the problem areas in his squad and at present and the Hammers are in a far better place than when they finished last season.
Furthermore, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth (via Twitter, 4 August), the Hammers are now in advanced talks to sign Burnley winger Maxwel Cornet.
So how the former Aston Villa striker can predict for the Hammers to finish considerably below where they did last season is fairly perplexing.
Furthermore, it’s important to look at the business that has been completed by West Ham’s rivals.
Chelsea are still looking for a striker, whilst Manchester United are still not the side they once were.
There’s a good argument to suggest that the Hammers have had a better window than both United and Chelsea.
Agbonlahor better remember this prediction come May because there’s a good chance it couldn’t be further from the truth.
