West Ham United will shiver after announcement today may haunt them
The 2023/24 Premier League fixtures have been released and West Ham will endure a tricky beginning and end to their league campaign
As posted on the official Premier League website, all 20 clubs have found out their respective schedules ahead of next season, which kicks off with a blockbuster as Vincent Kompany and Burnley host the Belgian’s former side, Champions Manchester City, on Friday 11 August.
For West Ham, their season will get underway the following day on Saturday 12 August, with a trip to the South Coast and Bournemouth, where they won 4-0 last season.

Seven of West Ham’s last nine seasons have kicked off with games against sides from the Premier League’s ‘big-six,’ with the other two being matches against Newcastle, so fans will be delighted to see a change of pace in next year’s opening game.
However, their season quickly becomes difficult with their first home game coming the following weekend against Chelsea, before trips to Brighton and Luton, before they host Manchester City and then head to Anfield.
With this run, the Hammers could very easily struggle to pick up points early on and they have another nightmarish mid-season run. During the winter period, West Ham face Arsenal twice and Manchester United twice both in the space of just seven games.
And the season ends with a tricky final few games. The club will play Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City in three of their final four games, with the season coming to a close for West Ham at the Etihad on 19 May 2024.

It means the season begins and ends on the road for the Irons, and with the Europa League to also think about, some of those difficult runs mentioned could become even more tricky to navigate. The club will need to make sure to be busy this summer to have the squad to compete on all fronts next year.
