West Ham United transfer news: £50m Everton ace Amadou Onana needed as Declan Rice nears exit
West Ham will undoubtedly be in need of a new midfielder this summer, with star man Declan Rice looking very likely of leaving the club in the coming weeks.
The Hammers haven’t rushed his sale just yet as they look to get the best deal possible, but they do need to give themselves enough time to find a suitable replacement.
It’s quite simply impossible to find a like-for-like player to fill the gap that will be left by their beloved captain, but the Hammers may have found a suitable option.

According to journalist Alan Nixon, David Moyes is back on the trail of Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, having initially tried to sign him last summer.
The Toffees could try and cash in on big interest to help ease their financial issues, and one senior ace that could be involved in any sale is Onana, with Moyes ready to make a £50million move for his services.
Onana has only had one season in the top flight, but the Belgian international immediately hit the ground running at Goodison Park.

He was one of very few standouts in a really disappointing season for the Toffees, who could now strike while the iron is hot and cash in on their midfield maestro.
West Ham will have more than enough funds this summer after Rice’s likely exit is completed, and a £50million move for Onana would leave them with plenty of money left over to improve in other areas.
As for the Belgian, he would be moving to a club playing in the Europa League, and would land regular playing time having been in and out of the Everton starting XI in recent months.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have made an approach to sign one 16-goal striker this summer as they look to bolster their attack.
