West Ham United should re-enter Ludovic Ajorque race after transfer development
The pursuit of a striker has been a long and arduous one for West Ham United but perhaps they should revisit an old avenue this summer.
The Irons had been chasing Chelsea attacker Armando Broja for much of the off-season but Fabrizio Romano has now reported that the Albanian will not be heading to the London Stadium and the deal is now off.
Romano also stated in the same Tweet that West Ham are set to sign Sassuolo talisman Gianluca Scamacca who would finally fill that void David Moyes has been trying to plug since Sebastien Haller left for Ajax.
But maybe the Hammers need to sign two new strikers this summer and one could be that of Strasbourg giant Ludovic Ajorque after he scored 12 goals in France last season.
The 28-year-old is not only six-foot, six-inches tall and previously on West Ham United’s radar in January, as reported by Foot Mercato, but he is now available at a rather cheap price given the modern transfer market’s explosion over the past 20 years.
According to Le10Sport in France, Strasbourg are only asking for a transfer fee of £12.7million to allow the French target man to leave the club that finished sixth in Ligue 1 last season.

Moyes might not need to sign two strikers this summer but that does not mean he shouldn’t when such a good offer is on the table and it would be relatively unchallenged too.
Hertha Berlin have made an £8.5million offer for Ajorque but Strasbourg are not going to budge on a price that would hardly make a dent in our transfer budget for the summer.
Not only can the 28-year-old score goals for fun when he is fully fit, but his enormous height would give West Ham a much-needed new option of attack late in games when they need a goal while also being a useful aerial presence when defending a lead.
