West Ham United served massive hope in signing Christian Eriksen
West Ham United have received a major boost in their pursuit of Christian Eriksen after the latest Fabrizio Romano update.
The Daily Star reported on 7 June that the Hammers sent scouts to go and watch the Dane ahead of a potential summer move.
The Denmark international’s Brentford contract expires on 30 June with a host of clubs interested in acquiring his signature.
Romano reported on Sunday (12 June) that he is keeping his options open despite a “serious” offer will fill the Hammers with the hope that they can sign the 30-year-old.
He said on Twitter: “Brentford have submitted a serious, important personal terms offer to Christian Eriksen – but the player is considering his options with many clubs interested.
“Eriksen will make his decision on the future club in the coming days.”
Boost.
The fact that Eriksen is keeping his options open amid the level of interest, as well as the success he enjoyed with the Bees during his half-a-season, is a very good sign.
He did excellently in west London and if the former Tottenham ace wanted to stay there, you suspect he would have signed a deal by now.

His level of performance over the last half a season back in the Premier League after his cardiac arrest serves as proof that he can still perform at the highest level and the forward not signing a new contract suggests that he thinks the same way.
With his former club Tottenham and Manchester United “keen”, according to a report by The Sun on 12 June, it will be tough to bring him to the London Stadium in the summer.
Hopefully, the Irons chiefs can work their magic and get the deal over the line.
