West Ham United need to swoop for Justin Kluivert as he trains away from Roma squad

West Ham United are in the market for a new winger and Roma’s Justin Kluivert could be the man that suits the London Stadium.

The Dutch international spent the 2021-22 season on loan in France with OGC Nice where despite a season full of starts in Ligue 1, he managed just six goals.

Jose Mourinho now wants to be rid of the 23-year-old and has forced him to train in isolation with two other unwanted players in Rome, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Irons are one of the clubs keen to take him away from the Italian capital and to London, as reported by Gazzetta on 7 July, as they look to complete their attacking signings for the summer with Gianluca Scamacca on the brink of joining the club from Sassuolo.

The left-wing has been a problem area for West Ham for a while with Said Benrahma, Manuel Lanzini and Pablo Fornals all rotating around in that position last season despite all preferring to play centrally.

Moyes has been looking all over the place for transfers but you very rarely get a chance as simple as this to make a big impact on the squad.

West Ham

Mourinho does not tend to change his mind on this kind of situation so you can assume that Kluivert is not going to worm his way back into the Roma squad.

That should allow West Ham to waltz into Italy and scoop the Dutchman up to take him back to Blighty with very little resistance as he will also be keen to leave if he isn’t likely to play any games.

Kluivert’s signing would complete a sensational attacking lineup that could be enough to propel us to the next level and into the echelons of the Premier League ‘big six’.
