West Ham United must secure smart deal as Dan-Axel Zagadou ‘destined’ to join Premier League

West Ham United have a great chance to sign Dan-Axel Zagadou this summer, and David Moyes must look to bring him to the London club on a free transfer.

The Sun journalist, Alan Nixon wrote on his Patreon on 7 August that the 23-year-old defender is in talks with a number of clubs as he looks to find a new club.

He will be available for free after being released by Borussia Dortmund.

According to a report from Calcio Mercato Web (7 August), the likes of Roma and Inter Milan have shown interest in the player, but he is now “destined” to move to the Premier League.

Bolstering the defence is a priority for the Hammers, despite signing Nayef Aguerd.

In fact, the injury of Aguerd has left West Ham in a spot of bother. Angelo Ogbonna is expected to return to action at some point this month, but he has been out for so long, and it’s unfair to expect that he will be on top of his game straightaway.

The club need to be very cautious with him. Likewise, Craig Dawson, who played so well last season, is not getting any younger.

Issa Diop has been linked with a move away from the club, and there is high chance that he could be sold if the offer is right.

Getting a talented player like Zagadou on a free transfer is worth taking the gamble. Moyes will see him as a squad player, and he will be a fantastic addition.

He has made 92 appearances for Dortmund and has got loads of experience. If he has decided to move to the Premier League, the Hammers should act quickly and get him on board asap.
