West Ham United transfer news: David Moyes can’t rely on Divin Mubama yet with Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio exits possible

West Ham youngster Divin Mubama certainly has a bright future ahead of him, with the 18-year-old having already made a name for himself in claret and blue.

The forward netted his first and only goal for the Hammers to date in their Europa Conference League last 16 second leg win over AEK Larnaca.

His strike in the 4-0 victory wasn’t exactly essential, but not many teenagers can say they have played a role en route to major European silverware.

The youngster also registered an assist in the competition in the group stage win over FCSB, with those displays and others leading David Moyes to the decision of wanting to give Mubama more opportunities next season, according to The Guardian (30 June).

It is, however, perhaps too soon for the Hammers to fully rely on the teenager in the Premier League next season.

The club do not have an abundance of attacking options, with Gianluca Scamacca potentially leaving East London this summer to add to their worry and the Guardian report noting that Michail Antonio could also go.

The Jamaica international and Danny Ings meanwhile have not exactly hit the heights expected of them in recent times, and even they are not certain of another campaign at the London Stadium.

All that will be welcome news to Mubama, but he should still be utilised away from the Premier League for the time being.

The youngster won’t have too many complaints if that is the case, with the small matter of the Europa League now on the line for the Hammers.

In other West Ham news, the East London outfit have completed their first summer signing as their new player pens a three-year deal at the club.
