West Ham United must beat Arsenal to sign Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo
West Ham need to sign a midfielder this summer, and they must move quickly to land Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo.
London rivals Arsenal are also in the race to sign the Brazilian midfielder, while VValencia are in the hunt to sign him as well, as per Spanish newspaper Marca.
The newspaper reported on 1 August that while Melo likes Valencia, he hasn’t said ‘yes’ to the move, which means the Hammers still have a chance to sign the midfielder.

West Ham are reportedly close to signing Amadou Onana while they retain an interest in Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski.
Bolstering the midfield is a priority for David Moyes this summer, and it remains to be seen if he manages to bring one more midfielder to the squad apart from Onana.
West Ham have already signed Flynn Downes from Swansea City, but the London club are looking to add depth in midfield as Moyes wants to challenge for the top four this season.
The Brazilian midfielder would be a very good addition to the side, and the Hammers should look to get him on board, even if it is on loan.

He has played for Barcelona and has done well for Juventus as well. He was a part of the Brazil squad that won the Copa America in 2019.
Melo is a versatile midfielder who is capable of playing as a deep-lying playmaker. He can play as a box-to-box midfielder, while he has played occassionally as a defensive holding midfielder as well.
A player of his quality and experience would make West Ham one of the forces to reckon with this season.
Melo would be a terrific addition to the side, and the Hammers must make a move for him ahead of Arsenal.
