West Ham United may have found perfect Jean Clair-Todibo alternative in new transfer
West Ham United need possible replacements for Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd before the end of the transfer window.
The main area that let the team down last term was its defence as they finished with the fourth-worst record of all the teams in the top flight.
Indeed, Zouma and Aguerd can’t be solely to blame but they are two of the main reasons behind the poor defensive performance.
Jean Clair-Todibo looked set to be the man to partner the newly arrived Max Kilman this season but the Frenchman seemingly has his heart set on a move to Juventus as he turned down the Hammers’ offer [Sky Italy, 24 July].
This has resulted in Julen Lopetegui exploring the market once again, and, he has managed to come across RB Salzburg enforcer, Oumar Solet [HITC].
Solet is 24-years-old and has a lot to prove after spending the last couple of seasons in Austria.
Oumar Solet is an ideal fit for West Ham United
The defender stands at a whopping six-foot-four-inches and played 28 games for Salzburg last term.
Solet did unfortunately suffer a couple of injuries throughout the season but this isn’t a common occurrence.
One of the Frenchman’s key components of his style of play is that he can read the game very well.
In addition, his range of passing alongside his ability to fend off opposing players with his tackling prowess all play a part in creating Solet as a player.

Since playing for Salzburg, the defender has often been deployed in a back four which seems to be the route that Julen Lopetegui is taking after the Hammers’ recent pre-season games.
This bodes well for the defender as he would likely be able to adjust to the tactics quickly and perhaps even stake his claim for a starting role.
Solet may just be the perfect Todibo alternative already.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have shown interest in Jordan Torunarigha this summer.
