West Ham United may be forced into David Moyes sack decision, replacement ready to go

West Ham United will be facing calls to get rid of David Moyes yet again after an embarrassing 4-0 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday 5 August.

With the Premier League season now only one week away, the trip to Germany was a nightmare and only shows how much needs to be done.

The Hammers remain the only top-flight club yet to seal a new transfer this summer, despite selling Declan Rice for mega money and the imminent exit of Gianluca Scamacca.

Tensions are already high in the boardroom too, with Moyes and Tim Steidten at loggerheads over transfers.

The Daily Mail reported on Friday 04 August that the position of the Scotsman is under “serious threat” with David Sullivan involved in rows.

What may make it worst for Moyes is that a list of replacements is said to be done already, with a new manager seemingly ready to go already should the worst happen.

Something needs to change and very quickly at the London Stadium to get things back on track, and the most drastic twist would be Moyes packing his bags and moving on.

The only thing stopping that right now it seems, is a breakthrough on the transfer front.

That may come in the shape of Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez very soon with personal terms said to be agreed already as the clubs continue talks over a fee [Fabrizio Romano].

Whether that imminent move will settle the tension in the boardroom, it is uncertain, with big changes needed on the pitch too based on that embarrassing defeat in Leverkusen.

West Ham may be forced into a sack decision very soon, and the replacements are ready to go.
