West Ham United fans can now breathe sigh of relief after ‘cursed’ David Moyes Premier League statistic emerges

West Ham enjoyed a strong start to the new Premier League season, but they have now lost their last two matches.

Having gone unbeaten from their first four, the Hammers have now been defeated 3-1 by both Manchester City and Liverpool.

The former came at the London Stadium last Saturday (16 September), with the latter coming at Anfield on Sunday (24 September).

It is the most recent loss that may just leave Hammers fans very worried, with Moyes now without a win against the so-called “Big Four” in his 72 trips as a manager.

As per OptaJoe (24 September), the boss has not won any of his away matches against Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United, drawing 21 times and losing the other 51.

Moreover, the man in the dugout has lost his last 13 such trips in a row, with Squawka (24 September) describing him as “completely cursed.”

Fortunately, however, fans of the East London club can now breathe a sigh of relief, with West Ham not having an away match against any of those clubs until Boxing Day.

The Hammers make the short trip to North London to take on Arsenal on that holiday, before their away games with Manchester United (3 February) and Chelsea (4 May), with their Anfield encounter now out of the way.

Moyes will not want to think about the “Big Four” for quite some time, having endured a really horrendous record against those clubs, both at West Ham and at his former team Everton.

In other West Ham news, a Sky Sports pundit was wowed by what one “magnificent” Hammers ace did in the 3-1 loss against Liverpool.
