West Ham United face competition from Manchester United for Watford forward Ismaila Sarr
West Ham United could face competition from Manchester United for Watford’s 24-year-old attacker Ismaila Sarr with Erik ten Hag desperate to add to his squad.
ExWHUemployee reported on his Patreon on 12 July that West Ham could be ready to step up their interest in the Senegal international, as David Moyes looks to add to his forward ranks.
However, it now appears that the Hammers face an uphill task if they want to bring the attacker to the London Stadium, with 90min reporting on Tuesday 9 August, that the Red Devils are now considering a move Sarr.

Furthermore, Foot Mercato reported on Tuesday 2 August that Leeds United could also be tempted by a move for the 24-year-old.
There is clearly a lot of interest in the Watford man, who scored a remarkable goal from his own half in the Hornets’ 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion on Monday evening (8 August).
He would certainly add some pace to the Hammers’ attack with Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio two strikers that are in a similar mould.
They’re by no means slow, with Scamacca surprisingly fast for a tall striker, but Sarr was among the fastest attackers in the Premier League last season and could add another dimension to Moyes’ forward line.

A move to Manchester United doesn’t look like an attractive one for any player and that could well mean that West Ham and Leeds do stand a chance of signing the attacker.
United have been in turmoil for years and it’s hard to understand why any player would want to make the move to Old Trafford at present.
Sarr is clearly a talented player, but he could well do with one more move before he attempts to get a big-money move to a big six club.
United’s interest in Sarr could certainly get the ball rolling in this transfer saga.
