West Ham should make a move for Eddie Nketiah after a new report on his contract emerged

West Ham should launch a new bid for Eddie Nketiah after it was revealed that Arsenal might be set to lose the 22-year-old in January or next summer.

The Sun claim that because the Gunners failed to sell Nketiah in the last transfer window, they could end up losing the striker for free.

He has less than a year on his contract remaining and can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club in January.

However, West Ham could turn this situation to their advantage and make a low cash bid for the forward in January instead.

Nketiah was linked with a move to the London Stadium in the last transfer window, and with the Gunners probably desperate to make some money from the striker, you would think a low cash bid could be accepted [Fabrizio Romano].

The 22-year-old could move abroad, but we think that if the Irons came in with a firm offer, they would be able to convince Nketiah to join them.

West Ham only have one striker, and Nketiah would fit in with some of the Hammers’ recent signings because he is young and hungry, so he would probably have the right character for the Irons squad.

He has also been described as “extraordinary” by Mikel Arteta in the past [Arseblog].

Also, Arsenal probably don’t want to lose him on a free, so the Hammers could secure themselves an absolute bargain if they make a move for Nketiah in January.
