West Ham receive early boost for Man City after Pep Guardiola development vs Newcastle
West Ham United and Nuno Espirito Santo will be delighted at the scenes from Newcastle versus Manchester City in the FA Cup.
Up next for the Hammers is Brentford in the FA Cup, but following that game is a tricky Premier League tie against Man City.
Both teams are desperate for a win, with their hopes on either side of the table hanging in the balance.
Nuno is sitting in the relegation zone on goal difference, and small margins could be a defining factor in the race for survival at the London Stadium.
Now, West Ham have been handed a boost already ahead of their next Premier League fixture.

What happened with Pep Guardiola against Newcastle?
Manchester City took on Newcastle in the FA Cup, with the Citizens progressing past the Geordies with a 3-1 win at St James’ Park.
However, the Manchester club picked up quite the loss for their upcoming games in England, and it is now West Ham who will benefit.
As Jeremy Doku was fouled by Kieran Trippier, Guardiola confronted the fourth official at St James’ Park and was ultimately met with a booking.
The Spaniard picked up his sixth yellow card of the season. This means he is now facing a two-match domestic ban, with the first of those games coming against the Hammers.
West Ham take on Man City at London Stadium on 14 March at 8 pm.
It is certainly a boost for the Irons to have one of the world’s best football managers away from the touchline as they look to cause an upset in the Premier League.
However, the first focus will be on progressing past Brentford in their very own FA Cup tie.
Why focus on FA Cup can help West Ham’s survival chances
The number one priority for West Ham is to stay in the Premier League, but that is not to say that they should not still be thinking about going even deeper in the FA Cup with a win against Brentford.
As the Hammers fight for their top-flight status, a strong cup run could inject more positivity into the West Ham squad, as well as the fanbase.

At the moment, taking as much positivity as possible into the final months of the season will be essential, especially with tricky matchups coming over the next few weeks.
The belief that the Irons could go to Wembley in England’s premier cup competition could translate back into the Premier League.
