View: West Ham may fear that Jarrod Bowen could be perfect Mo Salah replacement

West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen could unfortunately be Liverpool’s perfect answer to Mohammed Salah amid ongoing contract talks with the Egyptian winger.

The Hammers are aware of the interest Bowen is picking up but are reluctant to depart with their star man.

The Reds continue to monitor Bowen and could use negotiations with the Irons as a way to force Salah into a new deal whilst trying to add to their squad depth.

Much to the disappointment of Hammers fan, Jurgen Klopp has expressed his admiration for Bowen as Liverpool look to bolster their ranks with the Englishman placed highly on their list.

Luckily for the Hammers Bowen is secured to a deal until 2025. If anyone was going to take the 25-year-old off West Ham’s hands, they would have to do so with a huge fee.

Ticking time bomb

This is terrible news for all West Ham fans, nobody wants to see Irons players linked to other clubs especially the likes of Bowen, a key player to this seasons success and somebody who really understands the West Ham way.

This could be more than just a ruse from Liverpool. The richest clubs in the country or in Europe are always looking for players with great potential who can provide squad depth.

Bowen has put himself in that shop window after such a bright 2021 but is unlikely to leave just yet. After Joining from Hull in 2020 Bowen has gone from strength to strength, a similar story to Liverpool’s Andy Robertson.

He suits their style of play and transfer strategy but the one benefit for the Irons is they might not be able to cough up the money. With four years left on his deal it would take some offer for West Ham to accept.

It is very unlikely the deal happens in January and Liverpool will hopefully lose interest if they have Salah signed to a new deal.

However, Bowen is a brilliant player and as West Ham know all too well, if he keeps performing the way he is it is only a matter of time before someone offers money West Ham can resist.
