View: Arrogant Eintracht Frankfurt chief slams West Ham ticket stance

Eintracht Frankfurt chief Peter Fischer has completely lost his mind with his latest criticism of West Ham ahead of their Europa League tie.

David Moyes’ side host the Bundesliga outfit at the London Stadium on Thursday [April 28] for the first leg of their semi-final clash.

The Hammers have upped their security measures as they look to avoid the Nou Camp takeover by the Germans in their last away tie against Barcelona.

Fischer is among many Frankfurt figures displeased with the Irons’ stance on the matter, he told Westfälische Nachrichten: “This is the worst rubbish. I’m ashamed of football that we’re already being threatened today.”

Arrogant.

Honestly, what do they expect? The Frankfurt fans completely took over parts of the Nou Camp in their thousands to watch their team knockout Barcelona. This is a really arrogant perspective shown by Fischer.

In what world any club stand by and let the same happen to them? West Ham would have seen how the atmosphere within the ground was affected which is why they are doing there best to keep the Germans to their allocated number of tickets in the away section.

It is imperative that the London Stadium is bouncing, the players need their 12thman in full voice as they look to put one hand on a place in the final with a positive result in the first leg.

Not only that, it is a huge safety risk. The Hammers clashed with the Frankfurt fans during their respective round of 16 away legs in Seville.

With the Germans acting as instigators that night, it would be dangerous to let thousands of them in and around the ground with the Irons fans.
