Two changes, Aaron Cresswell to return from injury – Predicted West Ham XI v Arsenal

West Ham manager David Moyes is expected to make two changes for the Premier League fixture against Arsenal on Wednesday evening.

The Hammers are two points ahead of the Gunners in the table ahead of the midweek game at the Emirates Stadium.

Moyes will be keen to get a response from his team following the disappointing 0-0 draw away at Burnley on Sunday afternoon (12 December).

West Ham

Lukasz Fabianski has played every minute in the Premier League this season so will start in goal against his former club.

Injuries to Angelo Ogbonna, Kurt Zouma and Ben Johnson have left Moyes short of options in defence.

As a result, Vladimir Coufal, Issa Diop and Craig Dawson should all keep their places in the backline.

However, there is hope [football.london] that Aaron Cresswell will be fit to return at left-back after missing the last three matches due to a back problem picked up against Manchester City.

West Ham

If the 31-year-old is not available, Arthur Masuaku will cover once again.

Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek have been ever-presents in midfield and will continue their roles just in front of the defence.

Jarrod Bowen is assured of his place on the right-wing, while Manuel Lanzini has come into the side in recent weeks and been a standout performer so will keep his spot as the number 10.

There could then be a change on the left, with Said Benrahma continuing to struggle for form. The Algerian was disappointing again against Burnley and has not scored a league goal since September.

Therefore, Pablo Fornals can make a pretty strong case for a recall, having only appeared as a substitute in the last two games.

Michail Antonio is expected start once more upfront, despite not finding the net in his last seven Premier League appearances.

Here’s how we expect West Ham to line up against Arsenal, with two changes being made from the goalless draw against Burnley.
