Tammy Abraham signs, Areola replaced – West Ham predicted XI next season

West Ham have a huge summer ahead if they are to avoid the prospect of replicating this season’s failures.

West Ham are on course for a season of mediocrity, with absolutely nothing left to play for ahead of the final run-in.

Since the appointment of Graham Potter, improvements have been made, but not enough to the point where the Irons are able to make anything out of the current campaign.

Some concerns are still present at West Ham, and the summer will provide the chance to address those and ensure that progression can be made.

Alphonse Areola replaced by Burnley star

The Irons will be looking to make several additions this summer, with Burnley’s James Trafford believed to be on the radar at the London Stadium [talkSPORT].

It’s unlikely he would be brought in to play backup, thus making it into the starting 11 if West Ham are successful in their bid.

In defence, Koni De Winter could be one of two new arrivals amid links to the Genoa centre-back [TuttoJuve].

The Belgian would be perfect for the current style of play preferred by Potter and could partner Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo, with the latter potentially making his loan permanent.

How West Ham could lineup next season

Four new additions for West Ham

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been remarkable this season, and will keep his place in the starting lineup, with Kyle Walker-Peters on the opposite flank after the Southampton star was linked with a move to the London Stadium.

The midfield is expected to remain as it is, with James Ward-Prowse, Tomas Soucek and Edson Alvarez making up a compact three, with the big addition coming ahead of them.

Question marks remain over the future of Lucas Paqueta amid his ongoing case with the FA.

Jarrod Bowen will undoubtedly retain his place in the XI if the Irons are able to retain his services, with Tammy Abraham partnering him.

Abraham has been linked with West Ham ahead of the summer [Caught Offside], and a move could be on the cards if the Irons can find the necessary funds.
