Signing Evan Ndicka will solve West Ham defence problems for a decade
West Ham United are interested in making a move for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka on a free transfer, according to Jeunes Footeux.
The 23-year-old is currently in the final year of his contract with the German club and as things stand, he can sign a pre-contract with any foreign club in January.
As per the latest report, the former French under-21 international is on the list of David Moyes to strengthen the backline for the next season but he is only interested in signing the player for free.

Great deal
West Ham were extremely active in the recently concluded summer transfer window where they made eight first-team signings and were one of the biggest spenders in Europe.
Interestingly, out of those eight, half of them were to solidify the defence but even then, the Hammers are struggling to keep clean sheets, at least on the domestic front.
Therefore, it makes total sense that Moyes is keen on making more additions to the squad to bolster the defensive unit even further and signing a player like Ndicka will be a brilliant move.

The 23-year-old is averaging 5.4 clearances per game, second-best in the Bundesliga behind only Maya Yoshida of Schalke 04 [Whoscored].
Out of all the squad members at West Ham, only Kurt Zouma is averaging better in terms of clearances than Ndicka this season [Whoscored].
Looking at the age of the Paris-born defender and the kind of performances he has been putting in this season, the Hammers should definitely make a Ndicka and sign him to solve the defence problem for a long time.
