Rush Green redevelopment next – West Ham have perfect blueprint drawn up

West Ham could now step up efforts to improve their Rush Green training ground.

Rush Green has been West Ham’s base for nine years after moving in alongside the controversial switch to the London Stadium.

Karren Brady has been slammed for the Olympic Park move after many years of dismal performances and atmosphere in E20.

David Sullivan has come under less pressure for these changes despite only opening Rush Green to the first team in 2016, despite owning the land since 2009.

West Ham fans aren’t happy with the London Stadium and want changes, but the training ground could be next in line for a makeover.

West Ham reveal stunning new facilitity – ‘The Foundry’

A new ground is what West Ham supporters want after becoming a laughing stock across English football.

It is unclear whether this will become possible in the coming months or years if protests continue in and around East London.

Widespread complaints and frustration have been vented this season and look unlikely to go away any time soon.

One thing fans can’t complain about is the opening of a new facility for the West Ham Foundation, coined as “The Foundry“.

This will allow the club to reach more than 50,000 people each year across 35 programmes for education, employment, physical and mental health and social inclusion.

Not only is this hugely positive for the club, but the facility is simply stunning and perfectly represents what the Hammers mean to the local community.

It shows exactly what the London Stadium hierarchy can achieve when they put their mind to something, and poses as a perfect opportunity to improve the training ground now.

West Ham must now redevelop Rush Green training ground

Looking at Rush Green from the outside, the word “shed” comes to mind.

Compared to other sides in and around them in the Premier League, the Irons’ base is arguably embarrassing.

The likes of Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Leicester City have played Championship football in the past six years and have hugely improved their facilities to make them world-class.

West Ham should look at these outfits as inspiration, knowing that they can design and build an area as amazing as The Foundry.

This new location serves as a proof of concept for the claret and blue outfit and could be replicated in the future with the creation of a brand new training ground and even a stadium.
