Rafa Benitez to be perfect appointment for West Ham United as David Moyes sack decision made
West Ham have endured a miserable Premier League campaign, with their current status as relegation candidates heaping the pressure on manager David Moyes.
The boss has been under pressure for a long time now, with the Hammers struggling to find any sort of consistency in the league.
It comes amid the club enjoying a strong campaign in Europe, with West Ham into the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League.

While many clubs flirting with relegation have been through various ups and downs this season, it has really been all downs for West Ham, who have won just eight of their 29 league matches this season.
Many of the high-profile players have not been performing, but as always, the blame will lie with the man in the dugout, with Moyes the man taking the hit in this case.
Regardless of what happens to West Ham in the final moments of the season, both domestically and in Europe, it seems highly likely that there will be plenty of changes at the London Stadium this summer.

Star midfielder and club captain Declan Rice looks destined to be on the way out after several impressive years in claret and blue, with failed summer signing Gianluca Scamacca also potentially heading for an exit.
The outgoings won’t be limited to the pitch, with a major change also expected in the dugout as the club look likely to replace long-term manager Moyes no matter what [Dean Jones, Bleacher Report].
He has managed to keep his job despite several poor displays in recent times, primarily the 5-1 humiliation at home to Newcastle on Wednesday (5 April) [The Guardian].
The big question then is who replaces the Scot. The likes of Mark Warburton and Rafa Benitez are both potential options, according to The Guardian.
And there is definitely one boss there who would create more excitement around East London than the other, with legendary managerial figure Benitez boasting a long list of credentials to earn him the role.
While the Spaniard’s most recent spell at Everton doesn’t look great on his CV, his Champions League and Europa League success with Liverpool and Chelsea certainly does.
Moreover, he is keen on a long-term deal, something the Hammers could certainly do with as they look to get back on track.
Benitez even has plenty of experience in dealing with high-profile players, with the manager more than capable of getting the best out of this talented squad.
Also in the back of the minds of the boardroom should be Benitez’s 2016/17 Championship title with Newcastle, with West Ham dangerously close to playing in that competition next season.
With the Hammers desperate for success and Benitez desperate to prove himself following a dismal six-and-a-half-month spell at Goodison, it is a match made in heaven.
