Predicted West Ham United starting XI v Manchester City

West Ham United are on the high of another derby day victory over Spurs, but things won’t get any easier this week.

Manchester City are next up in the final 16 of the Carabao Cup clash, looking to make it into the quarter-finals.

David Moyes will be looking to make changes to his squad with injuries and fitness a concern given our extra commitments in the Europa League this season.

West Ham

Alphonse Areola will step into the side, meaning Lukasz Fabianski will return to the bench having played against Spurs.

Ben Johnson will continue in the absence of Vladimir Coufal with Aaron Cresswell also keeping his spot on the other flank.

Issa Diop and Craig Dawson will come into the side, with plenty of options in the heart of defence for Moyes to choose from.

Declan Rice will also skipper the side once again, but will have Mark Noble alongside him – giving Tomas Soucek the chance to rest.

West Ham

This is where the changes will really come in.

Nikola Vlasic and Andriy Yarmolenko will come back into the side, with the likes of Said Benrahma dropping out after the quiet outing against Spurs.

Manuel Lanzini will also start the clash against City, with the attacking three behind the striker all changing in the name of rotation.

The one man who will keep his spot will be Jarrod Bowen, who appears to be undroppable at this moment of time under Moyes.
