Nuno to worry as Premier League announcement for Liverpool vs West Ham has bad omen
West Ham travel to Anfield on Saturday afternoon to take on Liverpool as Nuno Espirito Santo looks to cause an upset.
The Portuguese manager had luck at the Reds’ home ground last season, where he coached his Nottingham Forest side to a 1-0 win over the eventual champions.
As West Ham stare relegation in the face, Nuno will be looking to repeat history for the Hammers this time around against Arne Slot.
The reverse fixture did not go as planned, as the E20 outfit lost 2-0 at London Stadium. Now, Nuno may have another worry at Anfield.
Ahead of the game, the Premier League have released who will be officiating proceedings in L4, and unfortunately for the Irons manager, it does not bode well.

Tim Robinson appointed referee for Liverpool vs West Ham – here’s why it’s bad for Nuno
Tim Robinson has been appointed as the referee for West Ham’s trip to Anfield, as confirmed by the Premier League.
Robinson will be joined by Richard West and Marc Perry as his linesmen. Michael Salisbury will be his man in Stockley Park, with Adrian Holmes assisting on VAR.
The referee for Saturday’s game has been the man in the middle for seven West Ham games across all competitions since 2018-2019, with the London club having a mixed record.
He has issued the Irons just 10 yellow cards across those games, but the East Londoners have won just two of those fixtures.
| Result | Total |
| Win | 2 |
| Draw | 3 |
| Loss | 2 |
Those over at Anfield will be heading into the match with much more confidence, as their record paints an entirely different story.
With Robinson taking charge of their games, the Merseyside club have a 100 per cent win rate, winning four out of four.
Included in those wins is a victory over the Hammers in the 2023-2024 Carabao Cup, where West Ham lost 5-1.
Tim Robinson once made huge West Ham error – here’s what happened
West Ham fans will also have bad memories themselves with Robinson in mind.
In last season’s FA Cup against Aston Villa, Robinson made a decision that crucially changed the game when the Irons were knocked out.
The London side looked well on their way to heading into the next round at 1-0 up, but Robinson awarded a corner to Villa, despite Amadou Onana’s shot not touching a West Ham player on its way out.
The Belgian would go on to score from that very corner, changing the tide of the game at Villa Park.
Unai Emery’s men carried the momentum from the equaliser forward and just five minutes later found the winner in Graham Potter’s first match in charge.
Fans will now be hoping Robinson can get his decisions correct this weekend and hopefully thwart Liverpool’s record with him.
