Mohamed Salah problem emerges ahead of West Ham v Liverpool
West Ham have a Mohamed Salah problem ahead of the clash with Liverpool on Sunday.
The Hammers face the runaway Premier Leader leaders at the London Stadium (29 December) looking to extend their unbeaten run to five games.
However, if they are to succeed, they must figure out a way to deal with the Egyptian superstar who has notched 12 goals and three assists in 16 matches in all competitions against the Irons.
His record for the Reds when visiting East London is just as sensational, Salah has notched seven goal contributions in seven away matches, with five goals and two assists.
Can West Ham stop Salah?
If the Hammers are to continue their unbeaten run, they must find a way to stop the Egyptian from influencing the contest, something which so many teams have failed to do so far this season.
Emerson Palmieri will likely be tasked with defending the most in-form player in the league on Sunday and he faces a tough test.
Salah has notched 16 goals and 11 assists in 17 league matches so far this campaign and has shown no signs of slowing down despite his age.

One positive omen for the Irons is that he has failed to contribute in his last two matches at the London Stadium, although he only featured for 11 minutes in the 2-2 draw towards the end of last season.
However, it would be foolish to write off the Reds attacker based on that fact, he has already shown the impact he can have when scoring in a 31-minute cameo in the Hammers’ 5-1 EFL Cup defeat in September.
The former Chelsea man could also negatively impact Julen Lopetegui’s side off the pitch, the Reds have been linked with a swoop for Jarrod Bowen [The Athletic, 27 December] if Salah leaves when his contract expires in the summer.
