Michail Antonio’s top five goals for West Ham as exit announced
Michail Antonio had been part of West Ham’s furniture for many years since signing from Nottingham Forest in 2015.
The striker had played over 300 times for the Hammers and had netted 83 goals in all competitions.
Now, Antonio’s time at West Ham has come to an end, with the 35-year-old now a free agent after his contract expired.
However, the former England international no doubt had a Hammers career to be proud of, after netting multiple times.
Therefore, West Ham Zone has looked back on his career at the London club to highlight his most memorable goals during his 10-year stay.

West Ham 1-0 Sunderland – February 2016
West Ham’s 2015/16 campaign was extremely memorable, and Antonio was central to this success.
Going into the match against Sunderland, the Hammers were unbeaten in 12 matches at Upton Park.
Antonio ensured this form continued, with the striker taking on multiple players before slotting the ball into the bottom corner.
This resulted in the famous ‘Homer Simpson’ celebration, with the striker running in a circle while lying on the floor.

West Ham 3-2 Man United – May 2016
In one of the biggest matches in West Ham’s history, the London club faced Manchester United in their final game at Upton Park.
Despite going 2-1 down, the Hammers staged a heroic comeback, with Antonio being central to this.
The striker managed to leap onto Dimitri Payet’s cross to guide the ball into the net and level the scoreline.
This proved to be massive in swinging the momentum of the match, with Winston Reid going on to get the winner four minutes later.
Tottenham 0-1 West Ham – April 2019
Going into the match against Tottenham, Spurs were yet to lose at their new stadium and were on a five-match unbeaten run.
However, West Ham showed no fear against their rivals in a superb display, and Antonio went on to win all three points for the Hammers.
The striker hooked onto a cross from Marko Arnautovic with his chest before poking the ball into the net for a 1-0 victory.
This was then followed up with another iconic celebration from the striker in a highly memorable win.
West Ham 1-1 Man City – October 2020
Going into the COVID campaign, many iconic moments are often forgotten, given the lack of crowd at the London Stadium.
As a result, Hammers fans missed one of the best goals scored at the ground against Manchester City.
From Vladimir Coufal’s cross, Antonio managed to perform a bicycle kick with his back to goal to guide the ball into the net.
While it didn’t prove to be the winner, it was a fantastic finish from the 35-year-old.
Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 West Ham – May 2022
In a far less memorable match, West Ham fell victim to a heavy defeat to Brighton.
There were few positives to take from the match. However, Antonio’s goal certainly stood out.
The striker managed to flick the ball over a Brighton defender on the edge of the box before lasering the ball into the roof of the net.
It was a phenomenal finish from the Jamaican international, which is often forgotten due to the result.
