Match of the Day in disgraceful coverage of West Ham United defeat v Nottingham Forest
Match of the Day disrespected West Ham United after saying nothing about them after the 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
The Hammers fell to yet another defeat on Saturday 2 November as further pressure piled on Julen Lopetegui in the dugout.
There were still some moments which could have turned the game in favour of the away side with Lucas Paqueta having a chance blocked on the line just minutes before Edson Alvarez was sent off in a moment of madness.
With that being said, the coverage of the Irons on Match of the Day (2 November) was disrespectful, failing to mention anything but Nuno Espirito Santo or the Forest defence.

It has to be said that the home side were excellent on the day and at times tore Lopetegui’s 10 men apart at the City Ground.
This saw Gary Lineker gush over the Reds as he said: “Nottingham Forest, wow. The Nuno Spirit, it’s special.”
The love-in continued as Joe Hart praised Murillo and Nikola Milenkovic for their performances in keeping a clean sheet.
Coverage of the clash ended there without a single mention of the Hammers which despite a poor performance, is still disrespectful.
There were some flashes of quality with Paqueta’s first-half chance and some excellent saves from Lucasz Fabianski throughout the game, replacing Alphonse Areola with a positive showing.
Not everything had to be positive from Lineker, Hart and Micah Richards as West Ham supporters would have arguably liked to understand where things went wrong in the East Midlands.
This wasn’t the case and Irons supporters have every right to be fuming with the coverage of their side, regardless of the negative result.
