Manuel Lanzini exit could make room for Amadou Onana to join West Ham United
Manuel Lanzini has been linked with a move away from West Ham United and that could free up room for David Moyes to push on with a move for Lille’s Amadou Onana.
It has been suggested by Turkish media outlet Fanatik (9 July) that Besiktas are eyeing a move for 29-year-old Lanzini and that could free up room for Onana to come to the London Stadium.
The Athletic reported (4 July) that West Ham are weighing up an improved offer for the Belgium international after their £19.5million bid was rejected by the French side.

If Moyes can shift Lanzini off of his wage structure then he may well find himself in a much stronger position to bid for the Lille midfielder this summer.
It would be a serious statement of intent from the Irons if they landed the 20-year-old, with the likes of Everton, Monaco and Leicester City all tracking the midfielder this summer.
Onana would provide some serious competition in West Ham’s midfield and could form an excellent partnership with Declan Rice in the Hammers’ midfield.
Moyes has made three additions thus far and it is likely that he will have to make room for some players to come into the London Stadium this summer.

Lanzini is 29 and entering the final year of his current deal at the London Stadium so an exit would make sense for the Argentinian.
He has been an excellent servant over a number of years and had an excellent 2021/22 season.
However, with Moyes looking to take his side to the next level, a move away could be the most sensible option for the West Ham boss.
