Lopetegui axes Mavropanos in two changes – West Ham predicted XI v Everton
Julen Lopetegui could drop Konstantinos Mavropanos in a change of formation for West Ham as they welcome Everton to the London Stadium.
The Hammers will be keen to bounce back from their 3-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest, welcoming Sean Dyche’s side on Saturday 9 November.
The defeat last time out was damaging for the Spanish head coach who is coming under fire in East London after a frustrating start to the season.
Lopetegui needs a win against the Toffees, with his job on the line, and he could now look to revert to a 4-2-3-1 after experimenting with three centre backs against Forest.
This could see Mavropanos drop out of the starting XI while an enforced change will see Edson Alvarez miss out after picking up a red card at the City Ground.
Julen Lopetegui to axe Konstantinos Mavrapanos in tactical change for West Ham v Everton
The Spaniard hasn’t been afraid to make big decisions this season which has seen him drop Alphonse Areola against Forest and Manchester United. This could see Lucasz Fabianski keep his spot in the starting XI after positive performances in those two games.
Ahead of him, there could be a change with the Greece international potentially dropping out to allow Lopetegui to operate with a back four. This could see Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Emerson keep their places at full back while Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo may start as the centre back pairing.
With Alvarez out due to suspension, there is enforced change in midfield which could see Carlos Soler partner Guido Rodriguez at the base of the side.
Ahead of them, there is unlikely to be much change other than a positional reshuffle with Jarrod Bowen returning to the right with Lucas Paqueta returning to his favoured number 10 role. Crysencio Summerville could also keep his place despite coming off at half time against Forest.

Up front, there is a decision to be made between Michail Antonio and Danny Ings but the Jamaica international has often been favoured and could be in line to make his ninth start of the season.
