Julen Lopetegui needs to bring Omar Marmoush to West Ham United after what his agency did
West Ham United have already spent a lot of money improving their team across the board throughout the summer transfer window.
The Hammers have one of the most new-look Premier League teams compared to last season and fans were quite happy with the window they had.
However, things haven’t gone quite to plan for Julen Lopetegui’s men as the club finds themselves fourteenth in the top flight, five points adrift from the European spots.
One area the club still seems to be struggling is their attack and with Niclas Fullkrug sidelined due to injury, the Spaniard has had to rely on Danny Ings and Michail Antonio.
Although the former managed to bag a 95th-minute equaliser against Fulham, West Ham are now seen as a likely destination for Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush [teamTALK, 16 September].
It is also said that his agency already want to move him on, too.
Omar Marmoush to sign for West Ham United?
Although West Ham bolstered their attacking ranks over the summer, with Fullkrug now sidelined, Lopetegui has found himself fielding both Antonio and Ings despite their poor performances last term.
Marmoush is a stellar Bundesliga talent who managed to bag 17 goals across all competitions last term and even chipped in with six assists.
The striker is also just 25 years old so despite his already clinical nature, there is still plenty of time for the number nine to be improved as his career goes on.
While Fullkrug will no doubt be West Ham’s first-choice striker, by the end of the season the contracts of both Ings and Antonio will have expired so the Hammers will be left somewhat lacking in terms of depth.
The Eintracht Frankfurt ace would be an excellent addition to Lopetegui’s side and even if a deal isn’t struck until summer when Ings’ stay at the London Stadium is up [GiveMeSport, 16 September], it would be one that would make a lot of sense.
